Russia is famous for its wildlife. And it's not the easiest thing to protect nature and animals, so there are a lot of organisations that work to save the beauty of the Russian fauna. There are different zones, which need our attention: from Siberian taiga to tundra. One of the greatest conservation projects is the protection of the Amur tiger, which is 250-300 cm long.
These animals should live in natural habitat, so a lot is done to save them. There are not more than 100 tigers left so we must watch them carefully. A great number of eco-companies have been working in the eastern part of our country for over 10 years to get to the results of today. This great work includes donations, creating protection, feeding and medical care. Siberian tigers need our attention, too. The population of these animals is reducing and the government is trying to change this critical situation. The list of the endangered animals is really long: seals, cranes, antelopes, deer, etc. These unique species are protected by the government and the law.
It is so easy to become a volunteer for any conservation project. You should be interested in global problems and environmental campaigns. Some people would like to be members of big Russian eco-organisations and take this membership not as a hobby, but as a future career! Mass media also helps a lot to show the problem to people. There are thousands of documentaries, talk shows, and magazines where you can get the information about Russian animal conservation projects. They give wonderful examples of people's great help. Scientists study the natural habitat, which plays an important role, and help animals to survive. If every Russian citizen cares about nature, we will save our unique wildlife!
