Вариант 10

     It was late in the evening when I was driving home from the office. I got tired after a long working day. The only desire was to get home quickly, have a shower, eat dinner, and enjoy my favourite book on the sofa.
     When I was drinking tea after dinner, my phone rang. I got curious who it was. It was late and I was worried at first that something was wrong. My heart was beating faster and faster. When I answered the phone, I heard the voice of a young man. That was unbelievable because I realised I was talking to my childhood friend Peter! We used to live nearby and we often spent time together. At the age of 11, I moved to Bristol with my family as my dad got a new job there.
      Now Peter is a vet. Actually, his dream was to become a doctor, but he has always loved animals. He had a lot of good news to tell me that night. We talked a lot. We remembered people, places, and funny situations. We even remembered our tree house in School Street, our school friends, and the celebration when we finished the fifth form. It was great as we showed a play, talked to the mayor, and watched fireworks display in the evening! We used to take part in many educational and social activities as children.
     It turned out that Peter was on holidays here in Bristol and as he was walking along Central Street, he saw me through the window of a café. He was in a hurry so he decided to find my number and call me later.
     That was the most pleasant Tuesday evening of that month. Peter and I agreed to meet later and catch up.
