Summers in Russia

In Russia, summers are usually warm and bright. In most places, the temperature in summer is between 20°C and 30°C. The days are long, and people like spending time outside.

Last summer, the Kuznetsovs went to the dacha. Their dacha is near the Black Sea not far from Yalta, the Crimea. The weather was sunny and warm, so they decided to go to the beach. In the morning, Sergey, the father, took his two children to the beach. Their mother Svetlana stayed at home.

The water was calm and clear at the beach. The children were very happy and went swimming. After that, the family had lunch on the beach. They ate fruit, sandwiches and drank cold lemonade. Later, Sergey saw dark clouds in the sky. “Let’s go home! The storm is coming!” he said to the children.

They got back to the dacha. There was no storm, but there were a lot of leaves and branches in the yard. “The storm has already passed,” Svetlana said. “Now we have to clean the yard.” In the evening, they cleaned the yard, and the children helped them to pick up the leaves.
