Task 3. You are going to give a talk about animals. You will have to start in 1.5 minutes and will speak for not more than 2 minutes (10-12 sentences).  

Remember to say:

• what wild animals live in your region;

• whether it is a good idea to keep a wild animal as a pet, and why;

• why people build zoos in the cities and towns;

• what your attitude to zoos is.

You have to talk continuously.

I’m going to give a talk about my animals.

To begin with, I would like to say that there are a lot of different wild animals that inhabit the forests in the region where I live. For example, we can see wolves, hares, foxes and even bears. There are different kinds of birds here as well.

To tell the truth, I don’t think it is a good idea to keep wild animals as pets, because they are dangerous for people and they often behave unpredictably. They can attack their owners at any time.

Speaking about zoos, people build them in the cities and towns because it is a very great business. To my mind, adults and children are really interested in wildlife and they are ready to pay for this kind of entertainment to see how animals live.

As for my attitude to zoos, it is negative. Personally,  I believe that zoos are bad for animals and it  would be much better for them  to live in their natural habitat, not in cages.
