Dear Jess,
How are you? Are you enjoying your spring holidays in Germany? I’m sure you are.
It’s been two weeks since I returned to Russia, but I’m still thinking of the exciting city life in Hong Kong. I went there with my school friend Alina. In Russia life is totally different. I miss the delicious sweet soup and fish balls, and I miss the beautiful night views from The Peak, a high point on Hong Kong Island. And of course, I miss the days that I spent with my uncle's family. I had a great time in Hong Kong. Thanks a million!
The weather hasn't been bad these days. It is quite warm. But yesterday when I was coming back from school, it started to rain heavily but my umbrella was broken by the strong wind, so I was caught in the rain. I got a cold and I am absent from school today. I hate taking medicine but I have to take it. I must get well soon because I will have tests in Biology and Geography next week. These are my least favorite subjects! I have to spend plenty of time revising for the tests this time. I won’t let myself fail again. The test two months ago was a disaster.
I remember you have asked me to send you some photos of spring flowers so that you can use them for your school science project. There are plenty of them now. I have taken some nice pictures and I'm going to upload them to my account so that you can see them on the Internet.
It’s almost the end of April. We are going to celebrate some holidays. I'll tell you about them in the next email.
Write back soon.
With love,
Alla
